Welcome to Vaultisse

The Vaultisse dashboard, with the navigation menu on the left

Vaultisse is a simple way to catalog every physical book you own or manage, know exactly where each copy lives, and keep track of who has borrowed it.

Whether you're running a school library, a small classroom collection, or your own home shelves, Vaultisse gives you one place to:

  • Catalog books — add them by scanning an ISBN barcode or typing details in by hand.
  • Track copies, not just titles — a single book can have several physical copies ("stock"), each with its own status and location.
  • Organize your space — group books by shelf, room, or branch using Locations.
  • Classify your collection — sort books by Category and Author.
  • Lend and return books — assign a copy to a Customer and mark it back in when it's returned.
  • Print barcode labels — so every physical copy can be scanned again later.

Finding your way around

The navigation menu on the left is your starting point for every part of the app:

Menu itemWhat it's for
DashboardA quick snapshot of your whole collection — totals, recent additions, and a shortcut to return books.
LibrarySearch, browse, and add books to your catalog.
LocationsThe shelves, rooms, or branches where copies are stored.
CategoriesThe subjects or genres you use to classify books.
CustomersThe people who can borrow books, and the groups they belong to.
AuthorsThe list of authors linked to your books.

At the top of the screen you'll always find a search bar to jump straight to a book, and your profile menu (top right) for account settings and logging out.

At the bottom of the menu, the print queue icon shows how many barcode labels are waiting to be printed — see Printing labels for details.

Tip: Most screens that scan barcodes (adding a book, adding stock, returning a book) accept both a camera scan and typing the code by hand, so you're never blocked if a scanner or camera isn't available.
